Today is Scotts and my three year anniversary! How time flies! I thought I would share a little bit about how we met and how we came to be here.
We met the summer before my junior year of high school and before Scott's senior year of high school (2005). His little brother was in a musical with me and one night after a performance Scott and I started to chat. I thought he was hilarious and eventually he asked for my number. We ended up becoming best friends. We would talk on the phone for hours and hang out at school, but soon enough that friendship turned into something deeper.
Scott left for his mission to Minnesota in October of 2006. We wrote his whole mission, and I dated while he was gone :). Scott came home the end of October 2008. We went on a date a couple of days later and the moment I saw him, I knew that we were going to be together forever.
We continued to date until January 2009 when Scott finally proposed! (That is a whole 'nother story for a different time)
We were then married on April 11, 2009 in the Rexburg, Idaho temple for time and all eternity. This day is also known as The Happiest Day of My Life.
Truthfully, choosing to marry Scott was and is the best decision I have ever made. He is my better half. He is so kind, sweet, thoughtful and loves me even though I have put on a few pounds, have a few stretch marks from birthing a child and have some grumpy days. He helps with the dishes, changes Jaxon's diapers, rubs my feet when they ache, vacuums, helps with laundry, makes me laugh when I'm sad, listens to me, and most of all just loves me for being me. Scott is truly my best friend, the only person I can be myself around.
Thanks, sweetheart, for the best three years of my life. I am the lucky one...
